Target student: Network integrators, systems engineers, and system support professionals who implement and support the Transmissiion Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) . wusing Microsoft Windows NT in local and wide area network environments.

 

Course content

 

Students will ab able to install, configure, and test Microsoft TCP/IP

 

Define a subnet mask and IP address range for multiple TCP/IP networks

 

View and modify the ARP cache with the ARP utility,

 

Implement IP routing on a Windows NT-based system

 

Configure the HOSTS file to map host names to IP addresses

 

Configure the LMHOSTS file to map

NetBIOS names to IP addresses

 

Install and configure Microsoft FTP Server

 

Use Microsoft TCP/IP utilities to transfer files, run commands, initiate remote login sessions, and perform terminal emulation with a TCP/IP-based terminal emulation with a TCI/IP- based host

 

Install and cofigure the Microsoft SNMP service

 

Performance-tune Microsoft TCP/IP

 

Use Microsoft utilities to diagnose and solve TCP/IP-related problems.
